Why is there a cut-off time to purchase dinner the Sunday evening prior to the meeting?

The Arlington Committee of 100 must submit the number of dinner reservations to Marymount University (or other caterer) several business days in advance to allow for enough food to be available. If you are unable to submit a food reservation by the Sunday prior to the event, we strongly encourage you to arrive by 7:50pm to attend the "Program-only" portion of the evening that begins at 8:00pm. All are welcome.

Are purchases refundable? Can I cancel a reservation?

Unfortunately purchases are not refundable. Once a reservation is placed the Arlington Committee of 100 is required to pay catering costs even if a person cannot attend.

Do I need a PayPal account to pay online?

No, establishing a PayPal account is optional. If you only want to submit a one-time payment with a credit or debit card, you can select "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" or "Continue as a Guest" on the PayPal screen.

Why do I have to enter my information twice when paying?

You have to enter contact information on our site and then payment information on the PayPal site to complete your reservation. The Committee of 100 uses the contact information to check you in at the event. Paypal then collects your payment info and sends you back to our site to confirm your order. We receive confirmation that you paid online through Paypal, but we cannot view the financial information you enter via Paypal.

I selected a Dinner Reservation in "Add to Cart" but can't find my "Shopping Cart." Where is it?

The Shopping Cart always appears on the top right side of the screen. After selecting "Add to Cart" your Shopping Cart will appear. You can choose to continue browsing the site (and the Shopping Cart will remain on the right side on all web pages) or you can continue to the payment screen by clicking "Checkout" in the Shopping Cart.

How do I remove items from my cart?

If you want to remove items from the Shopping Cart, you must go to the "Checkout" page click "delete" in the Shopping Cart after adding items. Simply closing the window will not immediately remove items from the shopping cart.

How secure is my information when paying online?

The PayPal site is highly secure. PayPal uses industry-leading technology to keep your information safe. This includes automatically encrypting your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).

Once your information reaches the PayPal site, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. PayPal servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers. Visit PayPal's website to learn more about security.

Does the Arlington Committee of 100 retain my financial information?

No, as the vendor the Arlington Committee of 100 is unable to view, access, or retain sensitive financial information such as credit card numbers or account numbers of anyone paying online. Instead, this information is sent safely to PayPal, who then transfers payment to the Arlington Committee of 100 through a secure vendor site, less applicable administrative fees. The Arlington Committee of 100 is only able to access contact information for the customer in order to facilitate reservations.

Why is online payment set-up through PayPal instead of directly through the Arlington Committee of 100?

PayPal provides industry-leading security that enables online payments in a way that the Arlington Committee of 100, as a non-profit, could not provide directly due to cost and technological limitations. Prior to February 2014, the Arlington Committee of 100 only accepted cash or check payment.

How will this charge appear on my credit card statement?

Your credit or debit card statement will read ARL CMTE 100 or ARLINGTON CMTE 100 for applicable purchases.
